Akiko Hyodo – Ballroom/Latin Instructor
At the age of Eight, Akiko was introduced to Ballet. From that moment on, she knew she was a dancer. Akiko is a highly energetic, warm and genuine dance instructor. Akiko placed 2nd amongst top instructors worldwide in the 2007 Arthur Murray International Dance Festival. She has been trained by top dancers in the industry. Some include the former ‘Dancing with the Stars’ professional and 2005 World American Ballroom Champion Nick Kosovitch, along with his wife and competitive dance partner Lena Bacheva, and the former Canadian Exhibition Champion and World Class Judicator Daniel Heroux. Akiko has been dancing, performing, and teaching mainly in Latin and Ballroom, and feels blessed to be able to share her knowledge with others.
